The Band of the Army Air Corps
The Band of The Army Air Corps is one of twenty two Corps of Army Music bands. Formed in 1993 from the former Royal Artillery Alanbrooke band, the band is based at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop, Hampshire.
During its short history, the band has earned a reputation for musical excellence and as such has been invited to appear at an ever-increasing number of high profile events. This has included D-Day anniversaries in Normandy and Arnhem, performances at the British Embassies in Athens, Vienna, and Bratislava, and opening the Tynwald Parliament in the Isle of Man.
The band has also taken part in Ceremonial events at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Tower of London. Engagements further a field have included Cyprus, Germany, America, Bosnia, Dubai and most recently in Afghanistan.
